The City of Paris, as part of its international cultural action, and the association Les Arts Voyagent, are joining forces to pay tribute to the unique story of Césaria Évora, an icon of Cape Verdean music whose deep and captivating voice transcended the borders of her country to touch the entire world.
This tribute will particularly highlight her close ties to Paris, the city where she first stepped onto the international stage.
This tribute will take the form of a contemplative installation on the Banks of the Seine, in the heart of the French capital, from April 28, 2025 to June 9, 2025 inclusive, inviting visitors to discover or rediscover the inspiring trajectory of this musical icon.
